Roles control the level of responsibility. Module permissions control where that responsibility applies. Use both so a person sees only the work they are expected to do.
Choose a role
-
Use owner access sparingly
The installation owner manages suite-level users, licensing, venue settings, and backups. Keep at least one secure owner account.
-
Use manager for supervisory work
Managers can reach manager-only tabs and settings inside modules they have permission to open.
-
Use staff for focused entry
Staff accounts should receive only the modules and operational tasks needed for their shift.
Configure the account
-
Open Settings, then Users
Create or select a user from the suite-level user list.
-
Assign module permissions
Enable only the applications this person should see. Inventory can be narrowed further by department from the Inventory access screen.
-
Choose the inactivity behavior
Leave automatic sign-out enabled for most users. Disable it only for a dedicated account that must keep a scheduling or display station open.
Reset a forgotten password
-
Select the user
Open the user record from Settings.
-
Set a temporary password
Enter a temporary value the user can type once, then choose Reset password.
-
Have the user sign in
The next successful sign-in requires a new private password before the user can continue.
