Information we collect
When you purchase or request a license, we collect the license holder’s name and email address, venue or company name, purchased modules, amount and currency, Stripe order and payment references, and the FECForge license associated with the order. The licensing service records license status, entitled modules, activation name, activation count, and recent validation activity needed to operate and protect the license.
If you contact support or submit feedback, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your contact details, venue, FECForge version, support code, and the contents of your request.
Payments
Payments are processed through Stripe Checkout. FECForge does not receive or store your complete card number, card security code, or online-banking credentials. Stripe handles payment and billing information under its own privacy terms.
How we use information
- To complete purchases, issue licenses, add modules, and deliver receipts and license links.
- To validate activations, prevent license abuse, provide updates, and support customers.
- To respond to feedback, diagnose defects, maintain transaction records, and meet legal or tax obligations.
- To investigate fraud, payment disputes, security incidents, or violations of the purchase terms.
We do not sell personal information or use customer information for third-party advertising.
Your operational data stays self-hosted
FECForge’s operational records—such as daily records, inventory counts, payroll entries, repair logs, floor plans, planograms, schedules, and menu content—remain in the FECForge installation you operate. They are not uploaded to the FECForge licensing service as part of routine license validation.
Cookies and retention
The public website uses short-lived, essential session cookies to protect forms and administrative access. It does not use advertising cookies. Purchase, licensing, support, and security records are retained for as long as reasonably needed to provide the license, maintain transaction history, resolve disputes, and satisfy legal obligations.
Service providers and disclosure
Information may be shared with service providers that perform payment processing, hosting, email delivery, security, or infrastructure services on our behalf. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect FECForge or its users, or in connection with a business transfer. Service providers receive only the information needed for their role.
Security and your choices
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. To request access, correction, or deletion of personal information associated with your purchase or support history, email support@fecforge.com. Some transaction and licensing records may need to be retained for legal, security, or contractual reasons.
Children and policy changes
The website and software are business tools for venue operators and are not directed to children under 13. If this policy changes materially, the revised policy will be posted here with a new effective date.
